Please remember that Little League is an all VOLUNTEER organization at the local levels. They are not paid for the enormous amount of time & effort they put in. So on the one hand, they truly appreciate the input on how to do it better, on the other, please ask yourself if you are able to help out and implement that improvement. They can't do it alone!!

It probably seems like yesterday when the girls finished playing softball and it\'s hard to imagine that it\'s starting back up again. This year we have several new and a few returning board members doing their best to make this year as good if not better than last year. For softball, Amy De Aguero as our scheduler, Mitch Merks as our player agent and Jesse Ells as our Umpire in Chief. As for me, Dayne Turgeon, I\'ve volunteered to be the Vice President of SMLL overseeing the Softball program for both North and South Little Leagues. Susan Funk was our Vice President overseeing softball last year, and after several years of dedication and hard work she has decided that she will retire permanently. It's been several years since she has had children in the program and Susan's sole purpose was to make something good happen for the girls! She did a terrific job and will surely be missed!
It really takes a lot of work and dedication by a small village to pull this off every year. If you or anybody else you know of is interested in volunteering as a Manager, Coach, Umpire, Equipment manager, Fields/jo-box manager (need to keep them full of chalk and misc. items), or for any other misc. positions,? please be sure to let us know when signing up.
Speaking of sign ups, I\'ve listed the information below as well as the information regarding tryouts. Hope you had a terrific year and we will look forward to seeing you soon- PLAY BALL!

FAQ\'s for All Stars
Q. Do the girls get special uniforms? A. We provide the uniforms which need to be returned after All Stars is over. There is a charge if not returned.
Q. What kinds of costs would the parents have to incur? A. There is no charge if your daughter is selected to be an All Star. However, there will be expenses such as travel and food. If your daughter were selected to All Stars, she probably would want her own jacket and that will run you between $40 to $50 more than likely.
Q. Is there paperwork involved? A. Yes. We will need the original certified Birth Certificate. They will be returned after verification. We also will need copies of a parent's driver's license and 2 utility bills. Please bring the originals so we can verify that we have accurate copies.
Q. Where would they play their home games and how far would we have to travel for away games? A. The games are scheduled at this time at The Mill Creek fields for the 11-12 year olds.? It has yet to be determined where the 9-10\'s will play. All the games will be played there for the District tournament. If the girls were to win the tournament, there would be another invite to another tournament at a different location.
Q. What would be the time that the games would be played (weekday evenings or just on the weekend)? A. They will utilize all the time they can. Weekend games may start as early as 9am...(could be earlier but we\'d hope not).?Depending on lights, hopefully all games will have started by 6pm. It will be a double elimination tournament.
Q. Where would they have their practices and what time (evenings just like the regular season) A. Their practices will probably be at the same field (here on Muk LL turf) every time... a lot of it dependent on the manager, but more than likely every day.
Q.? Do we know when the tournament starts? A.? Word is that the tournament will start July 2nd.
