My Trip to Japan

At the end of March, 2004, my mother, sister, her son and my oldest son took a trip to Japan to visit family.  I have not been back to Japan for almost 29 years so it was definitely a trip back down memory lane.  This was the first trip for my son, Nathan and nephew, Bronson.

My mother's family has 6 children, all of whom are doing well.   I have so many memories wrapped up in my Grandmother's house and all of my aunts and uncles.  It has been a real treat to re-connect with all of them, including cousins who were just young kids but now are grown and have their own families.  Things change.  But it seems to me, that where my grandmother lived, there is so much that is the same, neighbors, temples, the beach, the fields.  Our favorite little store is now a new residence.  The crop has changed from rice to cabbage and where the boats used to be brought onto a sandy beach, that's now concrete.   But the feel is the same.
